DESIGNER
Designers designed then stitched or knitted clothes and/or pieces of fabric. The clothes people wore in Victorian times, with all the hoop skirts, and lace collars, gloves and fans. Someone designed the style of houses and the furniture from that era. So basically lots of things in history you look at was designed by some kind of designer. Back before Europeans, ancient Egyptians had their own rain of fashion, too. They had colored and designed fabrics of clothing and so did ancient China. China was the start of silk, they found a way of making. Fashion is believed to be invited in the 19th century by Charles Fredrick, who supposedly started the industry by sewing his label in all his designs. Charles is said to be the first a counted fashion designer, having starting it.
CLERK
Clerks would usually sell you your groceries or anything you needed, and they still do. I believe in ancient Egypt (The ancient Egyptians) had their own type of clerk different from ours now-a-days. Also more than likely they had clerks when America was only 13 colonies they had their own type of clerks then. Credit Clerks, or any type of clerks, started right around the time people started economy. When Credit Clerks first started they didn't do everything they did today, they did much more simple task. They did, still, keep track and maintain your credit log. However they didn't have any computers or technology we do today, to help them.
